Reflection - Module 2A-4 Activity 6

This activity is a very simple one especially for me. I have been using excel for quite a while, so I am very familiar with the requirements of this activity. I especially liked the idea of experimenting with the fonts and background colours. I think it will go a long way in making classes more interesting for students and will play a part in maintaining their attention. We should all endeavour to utilize the technology available to us to reach those whom we are mandated to educate.

Hello activity - CCTI

Hello to all my CCTI colleagues. Welcome once again to another session of our modules. I certainly hope that we will have a good session especially now that we have experienced what this course of study is all about. Here's hoping for a pleasant, successful session.

Best wishes to everyone for the Christmas Holidays. Remember to continue working hard on all activities and assignments and please, please submit on  time as the schedule dictates. We must adhere to the deadlines given if we are to be successful in this course of study.

Reflection - Module 2A4 Activity 5

Finally, I have completed Activity 5.  I find that  Excel is an exciting application to work with especially in terms of using formulas and formatting the document to make it attractive and easy to read. For me, it is an exercise that was difficult to put aside once I started.

This has been quite an experience working on each activity (to date) and sharing thoughts and ideas with other participants. I am motivated to continue the module. Assignment 1, here I come! I shall make good use of the holiday weekend.

Reflection - Module 2A-4 Activity 4

Wow! I have completed activity 4. It was very exciting to observe the students creating their fliers.The enthusiasm was high and students were very pleased to sit back and look at their creations. I have also encouraged them to go a step further to add vertical Wordart and other graphics (re-sized) to express thoughts and ideas on the flier. However, caution is given not to overcrowd the flier. Overall, I think this exercise has provided the stimulus needed to go to the next level in using ICT in the learning environment.

The test used for this activity had been previously created for a class. It was easy to simply make the necessary adjustments to the document. Thus, it is wise to save all work created and establish a document bank of varying activities. These can then be amended accordingly.


I am having fun in this course and hope all other participants are seeing the benefits of this exercise.

It is amazing the types of documents that can be created with a word processor. A word processor caters to almost anything that one may want to create. Even a website can be created using a word processor. My calendar of activities is something of great value and can be adjusted quickly according to the need at the time.
